The club promotes a dinghy racing program all year for our mixed-handicap fleet. Popular boats are Laser, Wayfarer, Enterprise and Tideway, but the club will accept any boat up to 5 meters long with an RYA handicap. There are six racing series between March and October each year. We alternate the race day between Saturdays (for 5 or 6 weeks) and Sundays (for 5 or 6 weeks) and then back to Saturdays, etc, allowing the race schedule to include both weekend days. We compete in a Winter series between November and March racing on Saturdays only during these five months. The club also runs Wednesday afternoon races during the Summer. Numerous one-off trophy days occur throughout the year. All series carry a trophy, and there is a prize giving each year in February.
The full racing programme is displayed (and can be printed) in Adobe Acrobat .PDF format here.
All weekend races start at 11:00 am. Members usually start to arrive at 10:00 with boats on the water by 10:45.
April to October afternoon races start at 1:00 with boats on the water at 12:45.
